World Quality Month

My Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Quality Council of India, I wish you a very productive "World Quality Month" and hope that you would, along with all of us, celebrate the month with vigour, commitment and Quality!

We are geared up to bring discernible change in the Quality of every citizen's life, through our efforts at the National and International level. Over the past one month, since I have taken over, we have had fruitful discussions with Industry Associations, CEOs of many companies, Quality experts and various departments of the government, to steer a Quality campaign which needs to be replicated in all sectors - manufacturing and services. Our focus for the coming year will be on helping SMEs and improving quality in government services for the average citizen. In addition, we will continue to accelerate the current work of QCI in healthcare, education, Labs and other fields.

India has seen a tremendous growth in confidence ever since the elections in May. The mood of the Industry is also upbeat as they see higher growth and a better business climate. We at QCI, want to leverage this enthusiasm for building a Quality Infrastructure in India, which is sustainable, self-regulated and internationally acclaimed.

Over the past few years, QCI has become an integral part of the Asia Pacific (APLAC) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and MLAs have been signed in various sectors. Wherever, standards were not available, our Boards have designed standards for the Indian market to steer growth, compliance and quality. It is a matter of great pride for us, that QCI is playing a major role in defining, assuring and promoting quality in all sectors concerning products, services and processes. We need to build on this strength and maintain our integrity, passion and authenticity.

I invite you to be a part of this journey towards achieving excellence and delivering internationally acclaimed Quality in all products and services made in India or elsewhere. We need to make quality a demand driven rather than a supply driven commodity. We expect that by participating in the World Quality Month, you would help us in promoting Quality in all activities within your organization, resulting in a cascade effect and this initiative will develop soon as a mission in India.

I greet you and invite you and your organization to be a part of the World Quality Month!

Please follow us on Twitter as we grow our participation in Social Media.

With warm regards,

Adil Zainulbhai
Chairman
