The NRBPT registered training course shall provide training for potential internal auditors and audit team leaders in the principles and practices of auditing management systNABH and of audit team management as described in NABH Standards and ISO 19011:2002. |

The primary focus of the training course shall be on management system based on auditable NABH standard. |
| 1.3 |
The training course provider shall: |

| I |
present the whole body of knowledge of internal auditing of quality management system in such a way that participants are able to practice and evaluate good auditing practice; and |
| II |
encourage in participants an attitude of self-evaluation and analysis of their own performance as a means for developing constructive auditor skills. |

The training shall apply primarily to first party auditors. |
| 1.5 |
Prior Knowledge of participants |

It is recommended that the participants attending this course shall have adequate knowledge of NABH standards and some prior experience of systems related to Hospital/Healthcare providers.
It should also be conveyed to the prospective participants that no prior experience as above may lead to unsuccessful completion of this course and the gaps in this knowledge may not be covered during this course.
This recommendation should be conveyed by the course provider to prospective participants in all its communications, course promotion etc. |

Successful completion of the NRBPT registered Internal Auditor Training Course will in itself not satisfy the training requirement for NRBPT to any grade of auditor. |
