The ISO 22000:2005 auditor/lead auditor training course shall provide training for potential auditors and audit team leaders in the principles and practices of auditing quality management systems and audit team management, with application of ISO 19011:2002.

The primary focus of the auditor/lead auditor training course shall be on training delegates to audit food safety management systems based on the ISO 22000:2005 standard, or recognized national and international equivalents specified by NRBPT if any.

It is recommended that the delegates attending this course shall have adequate knowledge of ISO 22000:2005 series of standards and some prior knowledge of FSMS auditing, or have knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 QMS applications.

This recommendation should be conveyed by the course provider to prospective delegates in all its communications, course promotion etc.

It should also be conveyed to the prospective delegates that no prior knowledge as above may lead to unsuccessful completion of this course and the gaps in this knowledge may not be covered during this course.

Successful completion of the NRBPT registered training course will satisfy the training requirements to NRBPT registration to all grades of NRBPT Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) Auditors (when announced).
