1.1 Learning Objectives

Learning objectives describe what students must be able to do so by the end of this Programme. Students need to demonstrate acceptable performance in all of these areas in order to complete the programme successfully and you will need to demonstrate a factual and objective approach to the assessment of student performance against the following.

By the end of the programme students will be able to:

The training course provider shall:
1.1.1
Understand the principles of standardization, technical regulations
1.1.2
Learn the methodology of developing national, regional and international standards through consensus principles.
1.1.3 Understand the principles and practices of product and systems certification
1.1.4 Understand the management of laboratory activities as relevant to conformity assessment
1.1.5 Learn the mechanism of accreditation of certification bodies, laboratories, training, registration of personnel, including mechanism of multilateral arrangements, mutual recognition agreements etc.
1.1.6 Understanding the requirements of different management system standards
1.1.7 Learning management of national standards and certification bodies
1.1.8 Understanding the statistical techniques as relevant to standardization, inspection and certification.
